You must admit it’s awesome being a Beer Hugger (we are a little biased). We’ve done the hard yakka, travelled the miles and sampled hundreds (probably thousands) of beers to bring you the very best. Yes, it’s a tough job but someone’s gotta do it!

If you love discovering new breweries or only buy a box of crafties every now and then as a special treat, you absolutely must hop on this box. Containing all their latest and greatest signature brews, this is an absolute double thumbs-up release.
 
Over the years, we’ve been lucky enough to sample a beer or two from Two Thumb Brewing Co. Primarily as one-off beers in our limited release competition boxes where they have performed extremely well. Despite constant nagging to get a full brewery-in-a-box release together, they’ve never had enough beer for us…..until now.

Two Thumb Brewing Co began life rising from the ashes of the 2011 Christchurch earthquakes. Unfortunately, the iconic Dux de Lux brew bar in the central arts centre didn’t fare well in the devastation of the earthquakes and is no more, but the original brew kit was pulled from the rubble and gave life to Two Thumb Brewing Co.

Two Thumb was taken over by Dave Dixon and Mark Limber after a night out on the beer … where all the best ideas start. Having sampled the produce of Two Thumb Brewing, Dave and Mark jokingly vowed to buy the brewery if it ever came up for sale. The very next week the brewery did come up for sale and Dave and Mark made good on their promise and bought the business.

It doesn’t get much better than this. In your Double Thumbs Up release from Two Thumb you’ll get the following 8x 440ml plus 4x 330ml;

• 👍2x Greenland APA 440ml (5.3%): Drink the rich, bold, refreshing Danish Pale Ale, brewed with Columbus, Cascade, and Zythos hops for a zesty grapefruit and tropical aroma. A smooth malty base from American Ale and crystal malts finishes slightly dry.
• 👍2x Extra XPA 440ml (5.0%): Bright, dry, and endlessly refreshing. Extra Pale Ale is bursting with citrus from Centennial, Amarillo, and Citra hops making it bold yet refreshingly light. With a low 28 IBU and a crisp dry finish, it’s the perfect balance of juicy flavour and drinkability.
• 👍2x Haze There Delilah Hazy IPA 440ml (6.6%): Fruity and easy drinking, hazy NEIPA as colourful as a summer sun set. Pineapple and peach flavours from a mix of Citra, Mosaic, Centennial and Mandarina Bavaria Hops with a bright and sweet malt profile poking through on the back palate
• 👍1x Black Forest Rye Stout 440ml (5.8%): Deep, dark, smooth milk stout. Made with Gladfield’s new Black Forest Rye malt which gives it a fantastic rich spicy dark fruit complexity … best served not chilled
• 👍1x Yorkshire Bitter 440ml (4.4%): A traditional Northern English beer which despite the name is not really bitter. Malt forward, with some earthy, spicy slightly floral notes coming from the Goldings hops.
• 👍2x Sunshine Hazy 330ml (4.5%): El Dorado and Nectaron hops push the pineapple and mango aromas and flavours of this sessionable hazy ... perfect for that summer afternoon chill vibe.
• 👍2x More Bliss IPA 330ml (4.5%): This drop is a pale ale for any occasion. Full of fruity citrus flavours, slight floral notes and a lingering aftertaste of distinctive bergamot, this one as the song goes, “Drink yourself more bliss” and “get yourself another”.
