With winter upon us, we wanted to make this one-off release a MASSIVE one filled with MASSIVE winter warmers. So, light the fire, put your slippers on and sit back in your favourite chair – we’ve got this covered! 

😲This one-off release is so MASSIVE, we didn’t have a box big enough to hold it so had to get Sprig + Fern to produce an oversized one for us!😲

Since our last visit, Tracy and the team at Sprig + Fern (including her brewer son Joe and daughter Kathryn who manages the cellar door) have literally exploded with a range of beers that are not only perfect for this time of year but are some of the most awarded in the country.

🔥Containing nearly 6L of beer across 12 different brews (equivalent of over 13 x 440ml), this is a MASSIVE release in more ways than one!🔥

Sprig + Fern Brewing Co., led by Master Brewer Tracy Banner, is an acclaimed brewery based on Beach Road, Richmond, in the Tasman district of New Zealand. They utilise hops from all over the world and have excellent access to local farms for the freshest hops at harvest time.

Their malts come from quality suppliers in South Canterbury, Germany, the United Kingdom and the USA to ensure their beers are stylistically correct and provide the best colour and flavour possible. Combined with some of the purest local water in the world, it’s no surprise that these beers are winning so many awards.

Contained in this MASSIVE Sprig + Fern release are the following 12 different brews;

3x MASSIVE 888ml

😲Tasman Reserve Premium Lager 888ml (6.5%): A lager like no other, Tasman Reserve – or ‘Tassie’ – features five carefully selected hops for a bigger, bolder and more balanced premium lager with a generous fruity aroma, a citrus and passionfruit flavour and a smooth, hoppy finish.

😲Broken Axe Scotch Ale 888ml (6.5%): What better way to settle in for the night with six quality malts at your side. Combine them with Fuggle hops and you have an award-winning brew with pronounced caramel, coffee and chocolate notes, and a full-bodied smoothness that’s second to none.⁠

😲Futures Gold English IPA 888ml (5.0%): This English classic gives soft, woody, and earthy flavours with a distinctive floral aroma. It’s a well-balanced drop with a medium hop bitterness that perfectly complements the malt base.

3x BIG SERVE 440ml
😲 Remarkable Rhapzody Hazy NZIPA 440ml (6.4%): Big, juicy citrus hits up front, with mandarin, fresh orange, backed by peach and tropical fruit following through onto the palate. It is smooth, hazy and seriously drinkable. Remarkably big in flavour, hop-forward, balanced, and living up to its name.

😲The G.O.A.T Doppelbock 440ml (7.9%): This legendary beer has claimed a massive 26 major national and international beer awards since it was first brewed. The secret is in the six, specially selected malts. They lend a dark, almost black colour and a rich and toasty aroma, with a dominant and sweet malt note. 

😲Norty Porter Chocolate Porter 440ml (5.0%): A combination of five speciality malts, with the addition of cacao nibs bringing a luscious chocolate aromatic and flavour. This creamy chocolate beer is smooth and silky, right to the last drop.

Plus 6x 330ml RIPPERS
😲Awesome Mix WCIPA 330ml (6.3%): The newest mix takes cues from each of its earlier iterations, delivering a massive, hoppy hit from the all-American hops used, with bold notes of pine resin, twisted citrus peel, ripe tropical and stone fruit, and a pleasing hint of herbs.

😲Nectaron NZ Pale Ale 330ml (5.4%): Nectaron brings intensely tropical characteristics to a brew, alongside citrus and stone fruit. Think pineapple and passionfruit, sitting alongside grapefruit and peach. Added to our Pale Ale, it delivers a juicy and sessionable flavour that is sure to delight the senses.

😲The O.G Pilsner 330ml (5.0%): This golden, refreshing beer conjures up a fruity hop aroma, supported by a good malt balance. We’ve left behind the high hop bitterness of a typical pilsner, to create an easy-drinking (and award-winning) style. Extremely sessionable, The O.G. Pilsner has earned itself a solid reputation.

😲Best Bitter 330ml (4.8%): Blends five speciality malts to give the ideal balance of sweetness, providing well rounded toffee and biscuit characteristics. This is in combination with just the right amount of hops to accent the bitterness, and give a fruity, earthy aroma without dominating this malt-driven beer.

😲Chasing Hazy Pale Ale 330ml (5.2%): Our brewers have crafted a juicy hop bomb, that delivers big on the citrus, passionfruit and stone-fruit notes. Sitting at 5.2%, it’s thirst-quenching and easy-drinking, but brings you that unmistakable hazy flavour and mouthfeel – a distinctively soft, smooth body and just the right amount of bitterness.

😲Pinner Pilsner 330ml (4.8%): It’s an aromatic, crisp, and hop-forward New Zealand Pilsner, sitting at a sessionable 4.8% ABV. Pinner Pilsner is a great example of what a New Zealand style Pilsner should be, showcasing crisp citrus and juicy tropical fruit characters.
