Crafted as part of the Hāpi Symposium, where hop growers, brewers, and scientists collide at harvest to push flavour forward, this limited release pack is a proper deep dive into hop expression, technique, and beer nerd heaven.

🌿The Concept

• Freestyle Hops Nelson Sauvin + Southern Cross from their Nelson Lakes Hops farm.
• The exact same lot of hops. The same amount added per beer.

Three breweries. Three wildly different outcomes.

From soft tropical juice bombs to bright citrus snap and resinous, piney punch - this pack proves what the Hāpi crew already knows: Technique changes everything.

• Hazy IPA → pulls more resinous hydrocarbons
• Pilsner → drives intense thiol expression
• West Coast IPA → leads with terpene-rich aromatics

The data’s fascinating… but tasting them side-by-side? That’s where it gets seriously fun.

🔬 The Science Bit (That Actually Tastes Good)

Across all three beers, the same hop compounds show up - just in totally different ways:

• Big tropical energy (hello 2MIB)
• Strong thiols (3SH, 3SHA) = passionfruit, gooseberry, punchy aromatics
• Layered terpenes = citrus, pine, floral complexity
